What I'm doing all day on internet?

No I'm not watching stupid things on YouTube.

Most of the time I'm looking for new music and for interesting pictures.

The thing that might be relevant for this class is the search for new pictures, but the two are clearly linked in my little world.

Like every "pictures nerd" I have my own little secrets... And I'm going to share with you two of them.

The first blog is entitled Eye Know. It's mostly beautifull party pics and also more arty things. Whatever it's french and the photographers are really good. Here is two pictures from their latest update...

The second one is entitled Them Thangs and I just discovered it last week. Through the pictures addict community site FFFFound, where I could also be wandering all my life also.

I don't know what is exactly Them Thangs, its to be some kind of recap of all the images found on the net by some maniac. Fortunately everything is beautiful and there is a lot of naked women....

Here is One of my favorite designer: GASPIRATOR.

Is real name is Gaspard Augé and he is also a member of the French electronic duo Justice.

His work is very inspired by some kind of kitsch Futurism mixed with Evil Metal Posters.

This guy has also a very strange look that you don't know if he is coming directly from a 70's Porn movie or from some kind of old future... strange!

I like It.

I found a very cool interview of him lately. Ok it's in French but it doesn't really matter, it's his top 10 of his favorite album covers and it's very interesting to know where his work comes from. And it's Here.

So tonight I just want to introduce you to my favorite T-shirt store, it's where learned first little things about design.
It's called SIXPACK.
It was basically a T-shirt store but it emerged over the years as a concept store where clothes are sold, but also posters, books...
The Collections have always a special artistic directions and a great liberty is given to the artists to innovate.
Everything is always of good quality and with a classy touch, that most of the T-shirt worn by all the youngsters here don't have.
When you're wearing one of this thing you feel like you're wearing a very special thing and I'm thinking of importing a lot of them here. :)

since it's getting cold...

I want some organic and nice design, something that will keep me warm when I'm cold.
When I think of this type designer, of one guy that will always put a smile on my face, one and only name comes:
STEVEN HARRINGTON.
His work is a combination of warm and organic colours, and of false childlike lines and drawing.
One word: Awesome!

Last year I received this tent when I ordered a t-shirt from him. Brillant!



And I think I'm gonna buy these things for my Macbook and my future I-phone very soon!

This have been such a long time that I didn't post on the blog.
I think I'm just not made to do this kind of daily/weekly diary.
More the type to store up everything and then 'vomit' it after...
So That's it and now I will post two times a day about a lots of things...
Today will be about the german graphic designers: Pfadfinderei

For a long time now they have been one of my favourite designer in the music industries and moreover in the electronic industries where most of the times, the graphic "side" of the music isn't not a big deal when it exists.
They began working with the legendary techno label B-Pitch couple years ago and they are doing since things like Volvo advertising and 'serious' things. Their style is very simple, geometric, using a little range of color, but yet powerful and very effective.



I particulary like their work for their close friends and my favourite band Modeselektor.

And also very into all the work they've been doing for the band Moderat (a combination between the famous techno producer Apparat and Modeselektor). Wich was a project were their were very included and where music, images and video were closely related and associated.

They also work as VJ for various artist of the B-Pitch label and are the best I've seen so far.

How to start a blog...

Really don't know precisely what I should do with this Blog.
But some french designers and artists juts caught my eye recently.
Their name is "Ill Studio". They are a group of artists operating in fine arts and designing various stuff.
From T-shirts, to CD's, Typograhies, Posters, websites...
The style of all the creation is about recycling the graphics of the past to make new ones.
A retrofuturistic style to put it simply...
